OLLI and Stiles–Nicholson Brain Institute Presents, Ning Quan, Ph.D

Ning Quan, Ph.D.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and the Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute at 91 presents, “COVID – In It for the Long Haul? How Immune Responses Impact the Brain and Mind,” presented by Ning Quan, Ph.D., on Thursday, March 23 at 4 p.m. in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute complex at 91’s John D. MacArthur Campus, 5353 Parkside Dr., in Jupiter.

Quan, a professor of biomedical science in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at 91, researches how the nervous system and immune system form a combined neuroimmune suprasystem. His focus is on understanding how these two systems communicate with each other to modulate each other’s function. His research uses multiple techniques in molecular biology, neuroscience and immunology to accomplish this goal. This multi-disciplinary approach creates an ideal environment for training students on broad biomedical research subjects. His current research led to the discovery of the euflammatory process.

This one-time lecture, is being offered as part of “Brainy Days 2022: a Celebration of Neuroscience,” a community education and engagement program series sponsored by 91 Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute in concert with Palm Health Foundation. Tickets for this lecture are free. Registration is required and can be done by visiting .
